The Star Store


Amazon created their Star Store in response to people shopping less frequently but more consciously due to the cost of living crisis.

For the launch of the new site, we developed a multimedia campaign to show customers that low prices doesn’t have to mean low quality by utilising a shoppers most trusted tool: star ratings.







Radio

Carrying the star motif over into radio, we used provocative music and copy to romanticise the customer experience of falling in love with their product.




Social

To show off the extensive range of high-quality products, we showcased household items in a sleek and visually stimulating way to elevate the perception of Amazon’s quality and value-for-money.

The result? A satisfying 3D morph of products that tickles your senses.

Case Study

There were so many moving parts to this campaign, and its evolving nature meant that each iteration could be updated and improved based on data learnings and trends.

In total, we produced 288 assets which went live in 5 locales across Europe, leading to 5 million visitors to the site in the first month. [hooray!]



About:
Jeng and Mahalia are a creative duo that couldn’t be more different. Jeng likes swimming in freezing lakes, Mahalia enjoys hot bubble baths. Jeng is a camper, Mahalia is a glamper. Ones from North London, the other South. And yet somehow they managed to join forces, a non-binary asian they/them and cis-gendered black woman, to fight crime (racism) and tick every possible diversity box on a DEI census. It just works.

We also make ads. Jeng does the pictures, Mahalia does both.
